Interior Design in Porter Ranch: A Cozy Yet Stylish Guest Bedroom Transformation
When designing a guest bedroom, there’s a fine line between making it feel like a luxurious hotel stay and keeping it warm and inviting—like a hug in room form. For the guest bedroom in the Woodrose project, we hit that sweet spot, creating a cozy, stylish space that makes visitors feel right at home while also functioning as a secondary office for K, our client. And the inspiration behind it all? A stunning piece of art by the incredibly talented Bryn Williams, a Los Angeles-based artist who creates breathtaking commissions on canvas and glass. (By the way, if you’re looking for unique, handcrafted art, do yourself a favor and check her out on Instagram @brynwilliamsart.)
From Art to Interior Magic
It all started with the art. K and M wanted a guest space that felt intentional and elevated, so we worked with Bryn to create a custom piece that set the tone for the entire design. With its rich textures and soft yet striking color palette, it became the jumping-off point for everything from fabric selections to furniture choices.

Balancing Beauty and Function
A guest room should be more than just a pretty space—it should work for the homeowners too. Since K occasionally works from home, we incorporated a sleek desk setup on one side of the bed, balancing it out with a stylish nightstand on the other. This way, the room stays functional without feeling like an office first and a bedroom second.
Mixing Old and New
One of our favorite aspects of this project was blending our carefully curated selections with the client’s existing pieces. K and M already had a beautiful lounge chair and a chic desk chair they loved, so instead of starting from scratch, we wove them into the design, making sure they felt cohesive with the overall look.
Luxe Layers: Silk & Velvet
Because this space needed to feel inviting and luxurious, we layered in some seriously dreamy textiles. The bed is dressed in gorgeous pink silk satin sheets (because why should guests settle for anything less than fabulous?), and we went all-in on custom pillows in the most sumptuous velvet. The result? A bed that practically begs you to dive in and stay awhile.

Organization by The Go To Girls
To ensure this space was not only beautiful but also functional and clutter-free, we brought in The Go To Girls, the incredible organizers who worked their magic throughout the Woodrose project. Their expertise helped streamline the room, making it effortlessly tidy and guest-ready at all times.
The Final Touch
With thoughtful design choices, a mix of old and new, and an art-forward approach, this guest bedroom became a true reflection of our clients’ taste and hospitality. Whether it’s a weekend visitor or K settling in for a productive workday, this space is equal parts comfort, style, and function.
So, what’s the takeaway? Never underestimate the power of art in setting the tone for a room, and always—always—invest in good bedding.
